Bonjour ! My name is Olivier, aka “ Le French Jewelry Artisan”.
Beauty is everywhere around us: in nature, in people and in our hearts…But there is also a lot of ugliness, violence and darkness. It’s everyone’s choice to focus on the beauty and harmony, celebrate it and add some to the world.
I always believed that art and craftsmanship are often ways for humans to express their own view of the world or just how it should be…
As an adult, I always enjoyed beautiful stones and Jewelry: I actually bought rough emeralds in Colombia when I was 15 and, and continued collecting pieces from my travels around the world as an adult. Later , as a young corporate executive based in Europe in the 90’s, I wore cufflinks almost everyday at work. Decades later, semi-retired based in the USA and in my 50’s, I started taking Jewelry classes after I decided to explore my own design ideas for new cufflinks of my own. Since then, I have expanded my skill set and explored many other creations for my own pleasure...
This is my body of work, my world of inspiration while each piece reflects something of my soul , threads of my life story and the people whom inspired me.

I make Jewelry for fun and out of my wildest imagination or visions: it often starts with a stone that speaks to me: a curve or a memory from a trip abroad. I don’t really care whether the piece will be practical, marketable or please a certain public, that’s not the point…I care about being true to my vision and character at that very moment. From brain, heart and soul to metal, dust and fire.
A piece of Jewelry can be gorgeous but also be wild, unexpected, whimsical etc.. and reflect the unique character of the person who will wear it: if there is a personal story or memory behind it, that’s even better and closer to Art for me…I should add that I also take pleasure in bringing a sketch, an idea to life with my little hands through the different steps of fabrication that I have learned and mastered along the years.
There, in my sanctuary, I aim to make, in my own way, the world a better place, one carat at a time…
